I AM Aware...Of My Financial Health

Join us for I AM – Aware… Of My Financial Health. Speakers will discuss topics on how to be financially informed and prepared for possible future pandemics. Tabatha Caldwell from Shore United Bank will discuss online banking, how to set up a representative payee account, and explain the role of an authorized user. Kelly Nelson from Maryland ABLE will provide information about the Achieving a Better Life Experience Act (ABLE Account) and how it benefits individuals living with disabilities. Pamela Ford from the Southern Maryland Center for Independent Living (SMCIL) will discuss benefits from the Social Security Administration such as SSI/SSDI.

Ready to ride with confidence? The Freedom Center invites you to a group training session on navigating Frederick County’s Transit system. The Travel Training program is designed to help you learn how to read the bus schedule, know where the stops are located, understand how to use Google Transit, and make sure you feel confident in every aspect of your commute.
